he who wakes up late
and lingers longer will miss the farmer's market when the kitchen's full
of friends, music, food and beer, bedtime is later a nap in the van
for the second half of the school's chili cook-off a night of bright lights
UFOs appeared here twice we woke up outside taking a road trip
to the farmhouse to sit in with a mean string band oh, the days go by
so fast sometimes, and at times they go so slowly early in the morn,
a toddler marches backwards : "4, 3, 2, 1, march!" when anger shows up,
use it for something good or take a walk outside energy flowing
inward just as the garden grows strong autumn roots |
